Machining
Found within the SPA Aerofoils complex
is our fully equipped machining shop facility utilising both CAD CAM and conventional machining
capabilities, which also includes boring and grinding.
SPA Aerofoils are proud to be able to
serve a wide variety of customers with as many services as possible in machining. Our CNC Machining department has
the capability for production runs of small parts and can aide you in the design and specification aspects as well.
The engineering department utilizes the latest in computer-aided design technology in order to achieve the
optimum part, tool and fixture design. Our machining programmers use a sophisticated CAD-CAM system to prepare
part programs for the CNC machines. Both milling and turning operations can be planned and programmed by
computer ensuring extreme accuracy of part detail.
Allied to the machining shop the company also operates an inspection and non-destructive testing department.
This facility is used extensively on the components and assemblies manufactured by SPA Aerofoils, thus ensuring both a high degree
of quality and reliability.
